After being in Oslo for two weeks, I will be home for Chrismas.

Training camp in Norway..

Tomorrow I will fly over to Oslo, to train on Long track ice and work. I will compete this Sunday Norges Cup 5. My distance will be 1000m and 3000m outdoor.

Repechage 1000m

My first race today was good and I went to the next round. I did not get to the next round in the quarterfinal.

Tomorrow I will fly home to Europe again.

Todays competition..

I fell in the first 1500m repechage.

Tomorrow repechage 1000m.

Repechage 1500m today

Yesterday I skated 1500m and I did not go through.
I fell on the 1000m.

Today is the repechage 1500m

Beijing WC 3

Tomorrow I will skate 1500 m and 1000 m.

On Tuesday I will arrive in Beijing for World Cup 3 (as you can see in the upcoming event in the right side of the blogg)
I have had a good traning period here in Malmö, and I feel ready for the competition!

Interviewed by SVT

Today SVT (Swedish Television) filmed me on ice and off ice. Right now I don´t know when it will be showned. If I don´t get the time for transmission, then I will fix a link to SVT webside where you can see the interview.

This is the first 1500m in the repechage Sunday in Salt Lake City.

Here is the video from my 1500m that i took a Swedish Record:)

The time was 2.24.5 and that is almost 3 sek of my personal best.
Not bad at all for first WC of the season:)
I am the one in the blue suit.

Sunday repechage 1000m

Today I started out well, I got second in the first heat.
In the quaterfinal I was forth and did not skate that well.
Overall I placed 27th today on the 1000m.

Now I will fly back to Sweden again and train there with my club.

Saturdays 1500m Repechage

I skated better today and are getting back in shape after being sick.
I was second in the B-final repechage.
Overall I placed 25th of 43 on the 1500m.

Tomorrow is the 1000m repechage.

After being sick from last weekend competition, I did not skate that strong today. But still ok.

I have been sick since sunday. I am feeling alot better and hopefully I can do well this weekend.

Yesterday I only raced the quaterfinal and was second in that race:) but I did not feel well and I had to cancel the semifinal:( I hope I will be in shape for the next weekends competition.

Today I arrived to Vancouver, and I like the city soo far:) I cant wait to get on ice again in the Pacific Coluseum, 2010 Olympic Arena.

Saturdays 1500m Repechage

Overall on the 1500m (1), I placed 28th today.
Good semifinal close to A final.

Tomorrow is 1500m (2) Repechage.

2 x personal best today!

Today we had the first round of 2 x 1500m.
I had some really tough races but i still skated well.
In my second race I bettered my personal best by 3 sek.

Tomorrow I skate in the repacharge round.

WC 1 Salt Lake City USA

Tomorrow racing starts at 10 am Salt lake time.
I will be doing 2x 1500m.

Saturdays 500m races

My 500m yesterday was ok. I´m now done with Octoberfest competition.
Next weekend competition is World Cup in Salt Lake City, USA.

1500m races today!

The results are unfortunately not up yet on the the ovals website.
I skated good today, I won my first 2 races (kvarter and semifinal) and was third in the A final.

I am skating the 1500m tomorrow morning around 9.30 Calgary time:)
Saturday I will skate the 500m.

The Olympic Oval might put up the results right away. Or else after the competition is done for the day. They have put the wrong datum of the event but it is still the "Octoberfest Short track competition".

The skater in the orange suit is Mats Roger Jensen. One of the norwegian sprint skaters that are here now.
I have not been on Long Track ice for a long time, but there is a possibility that I´ll skate later in the season:)

Norwegian Sprint Team

A norwegian Long Track Sprint Team is now here in Calgary. They are here for a months training. Sara och Emma Andersson, two swedish Long Track skaters from Kristinehamns Club, are here for a longer period. It is nice to have some Scandinavians here at the Oval:)

Training here is good, can´t complain. I train hard and hopefully it will give me some good results in the close future. I will compete here in Calgary at the Oval next weekend, just before I head over to Salt Lake City for the first WC of the season. It will be fun to compete again:)

This week has been alot of new time rutins and jetleg for me. But i finally managed to take a picture at the oval. More pictures will be updated soon:)
I will try to get a picutre of the hole rink, but it can be alittle hard as i cant zoom out to much with my camera:) I´ll give it a try.
On the second picutre the Short Track rink is behind me (with the blue pads round the ice), to my left side is the Hockey rink (as you can´t see on this picutre). Outside of the two rinks is the Long track (with the gray pads round it).

Ninja Gisle Returns

This weekend we had trainingcamp with the Long Track Swedish National Team, here in Malmö. Gisle Tverland was in the corridor preparing for some lactate programs:)
(Gisle use to skate for the Norweigan National Team. He did World Cups, European and World Championships and he is still going stong on the ice) Sometimes Gisle goes on ice and pull some laps, but most of the time he is Coaching.

Long time no see.......

I have been very bissy with training, school and also work last week, that my blog was not updated:( This stressfull time will soon be over:) And then i can blog more again!

Week 34

It has been raining alot this week in Malmö. It feels like it will never stop...:)
I started a course this week so i have been busy with that and training.
3 weeks to go to Calgary:) I can´t wait!
Here is pictures of the Olympic Park in down town Calgary, were famouse medalists from Olympic 1988 have theirs name written on bricks around the Park.
In wintertime, when the pond is frozen, it is open for public skating.

Finally today I have been on ice:) It felt a little wired to be back, at the same time so good and a lot of fun. So now it is 6 more weeks training on ice here in Malmö and then I will head to a much faster ice in Calgary:) Looking forward to that!

Att träna på hemmaplan igen är jätte bra och bara en vecka till så är jag på isträning igen:)

Tillbaka i Skåne igen!

Efter att ha jobbat 3 mån i norge, är jag äntligen på hemma plan igen ett tag för att träna mig upp inför säsongen som börjar i oct.

Snart blir det även isträning och det ser jag fram emot med nya skenor och nya skridsko:)
