I have not been writing on this Blog for a while. Now I feel it is time to do so.<br />
I want to start explain the importance to have a good core.<br />
From many years of training on a high performance level, I have noticed that if you want to be able to train well, you have to work your core first. If you have a functional stable core, you can have a bigger chance not to get injured. When I have been injured during skating season the physio always would check if my lower core was strong enough. I trained up my core to a good level and my injures reduced quick. If you want to start slow with training small details as training your core 5-10 min a day can make a huge change.<br />

Alot has happend this year. I have change club in Sweden.<br />
I am skating for Malmö City Skaters and the members was welcoming me with a positive attitude that I like and I am now missing time with them during Friday Night Skate that is happening back in Malmö all summer.<br />
It is an event when you inline around Malmö city and is a way of just having fun with others who likes to inline.<br />

I am currently skating in Montreal where I am going to train towards Olympics 2018.<br />
A part from skating full time, this fall I will be a student at Universities in Sweden, studying online courses. It will be a bizzy season for me but I am looking forward to it.<br />
I like the new training group and after years of problems with my injury from 2010 I am seeing the results:) Sometimes you have to believe in what you feel is right and focus on the positive thing through tough journeys:)<br />

I am training home all summer and it feels good!<br />
The injuries that has been with me for too long, I can barely feel.<br />
It is good that I from day one when I got injured, decided to fight to get back and train normal. The last 2 summers has been stressful because I had to perform early in the seasons, and that the injury was still hard to handle. Now I can feel small tightness in muscles but no injuries around those areas.<br />
<br />
So I am looking forward to the ice season, just because I will be less stressed in the body:)<br />

Training is going better and better. It has been more than 2 years since I started skating from my big injury, and it takes sometime to get the body to handle the training load without getting small injuries along the ways. The good news is that I see positive results, steps and it will be good!:) You just have to believe that it is possible and that it actually takes years not months to feel good again after everything that happend. As long as you are prepared for that, anything can be possible:)<br />

I had a ruff last season with an advanced flu before the Olympic qualifier and some small injury in my foot around chrismas time, but that does not stopp me from continuing 4 more years of working towards my goal!:)<br />

Next Olympics is in South Korea and now I have 4 hole years to prepare what I tried to do last olympics, when I had only 2 years of preparing for it, after a long injury.<br />

I finally have internet in Italy..!<br />

I raced friday the 1500m and 500m. I got through the first round on the 1500m and was overall placed 37...<br />
500m I did not go through I got 3rd in the race...<br />

On the 1000m was not good. I got last in the race just too tierd in my legs of this first qualifying week. I hope things will turn around...<br />

I know I am stronger and just have to skate the best I can, I have done that and will continue with that in russia next week.<br />
There is still 1 week to go of the olympic qualifications. And I cant wait for next week in Kolomna Russia.<br />

I wanted to write about my racing in Shanghai, China. But I forgott that when you are in China you cant use Blog, Facebook, ect.<br />

My racing started really good in Shanghai on the 1500m I got through the round and I was going to skate the Saturday quaterfinals. But the night before thursday racing I was already getting sick and I did not sleep alot that night. My 500m on thursday did not go very well because I did not have more energi that day. Friday 1000m was hard because I was getting more sick and I new I had to save my self for the 1500m next day.<br />
I skated the saturday and to be soo sick I still manage to be with the other girls and in to the finish line I was last but right behind.. That is very positive.<br />
<br />
So after that I got more fever and more sick and it was horrible. I left Shanghai to get to seoul and I thought I have just a cold, but I found out in Seoul, South Korea that I had the flu and one that is not easy to get off...<br />
<br />
I stayed in Seoul the hole World Cup week without getting in to the ice rink..<br />
I got home for 1,5 day to sort out some things, and after I flue to Salt lake city to train here before the olympic qualifying. I am still recovering from my flu, but I have started to train both ice and off ice.<br />
It is high altitude and I am alot jetlegd, so I am working on drinking alot of water and try to get to sleep on the right time.<br />

I had a good weekend. On friday evening I was inlining with Malmö Night Skate.<br />
Some fridays in the summer there is a lot of people who will inline together in town. We inline slow so everyone can come along. It does not cost any thing and you meet a lot of fun people:) I was helping out as "blocker" who will stop traffic with the police, so that we don't have anyone driving on the lane we are inlining on. I saw this kind of event first time in Paris about 10 years ago:).<br />
But they were going really fast in the streets of Paris.<br />

Training is going as usual and that is my focus and has been all summer. I did not find a job this summer:(.<br />

I have very few ice practise in the week right now, I cant wait to be on the ice more!!! We have eight ice rinks in Malmö. But in the summer most of them are closed down. Right now we have one that is open, it is not one of the two ice rinks I normally train on, but the most important thing is to be on ice. I really want to get back on my normal arena!<br />

In the picture above is me doing what is called "dry skate" which means you train off ice the straight away technique as you would do on ice.<br />

When it comes to barefoot shoes, there are now a lot of different kinds. And you just have to try some to find the one you feel good in.:) The barefoot shoes in this picture I like specially when I do skating exercise, and I have also find out that they are nice to run in too.<br />

I am at the moment training at home. A lot of training in front of me and I like it:)<br />

I would like to write about the shoes I have now. Barefoot shoes... I started walking with my first pair already in December last year and gradually running. It takes some time to train a different running technique, which is the main focus for me. You feel everything when you walk or run in them. If it is concrete or sand or stones.. I feel that I have a better feeling underneath when I train specially when I do skating exercises, what I mean is that I need to use more muscles then before and work more on my balance. If I walk in regular shoes I feel like I am walking in bad high heels..<br />
I have now 4 pairs of barefoot shoes...<br />

Last week I was little outside of Stockholm on a kick off for the Olympics, that will be held next year 2014 in February. We where doing fitting for the Olympic clothes and we got our photos taken and other preparation if you make it to the Olympics. It is a lot to do before the Qualifying Olympic World Cups that will in November be in Torino, Italy and Moscow, Russia.<br />

As we don't have ice for 11 weeks back home in Malmö, I have to go a broad. I will soon train somewhere else to get the ice time that is important in the summer. It will be a lot of traveling time again, as it was before my injury. It is fun and I am looking forward to a interesting season!:)<br />

I did my last exam in april at the University and I am taking 1 year off school to just focus on the Olympics. I have around 2 more years part time at the University before my bachelor degree is done:)<br />

I have now ended my first part of the new season.<br />
The first weeks was to finally adapt the last part of the calf problems. Now after I have changed alot in my training and started a new ground for the season. It feels much easier to start the next part of my season.<br />
I am on ice and off training is going well. I have even changed my running technique, that makes it better when I run so my muscles feels good and I have a better "run feeling".<br />
<br />
It was worried when I was injured, because I have dreamed when I was injured, how it would feel to skate smooth, with no pain. I still have alot to get right though.<br />
Looking back on the last season I have skated good enough without the technique or strength in my muscles, that I know I can have. It feels ok:) That is a nice positiv thought:)!<br />
<br />
I want to thank everyone that has been supporting me thoguht the good and really bad times of my journey towards the Olmypics! Now it is time to just still fokus on the Olympics and make it as good as possible!<br />

I have decided to stop this season now, because I want to start planing for next season instead.<br />
Next season is the Olympics and because I was injured for soo long, I really want to focus on training and what I have to do get to the Olympics. Their is alot of planing and I feel it is right now a waist of time and money to spend it on the World Championship when I know I need to be more fit. I am strong but I know that I can be on a higher level and I can only get there if I train on my weakness now.<br />

I am going to do what is best for me, and no one else.<br />

Last week I was in Dresden for the World Cup, on the trip to get there was brutal. But finally after over 35 hours we were finally there. I was going first from Russia to Sweden but we had to get direct to Germany because times was running out.<br />

Competing was ok, but I really want to get back to real hard training so I can get to the level I know I can be on:) I have my goals and that means even you do ok, you still focus higher up, and that is right if you want to get better or best:)<br />

Ok so now we start, the world cup, and test the olympic arena before the olympicsstarts next year, that will be held here...<br />

I will be skating tomorrow 1500m first around 12 o´clock here in Sochi, that is 3 hours before swedish local time.<br />
<br />
Later on of the day I will skate 1000 m. As normal on the world cup you skate the distance that your team leader/coach has decided and tomorrow is the qualifing day. If you have not qualified you have a second chance in the morning to try again, on saturday or sunday depending on the distance.<br />

It is really interesting how thing looks now and what will be later... 1 year to go but still alot to build and I cant understand how they will be on time but they probly will be ready with the buildings and roads and other things that has to be build.<br />
